To be 100% honest, I am not sure I like this design better than the previous one...

I like the general design of the previous medal, though it does seem a bit lacking. But the new design seems almost too busy. I think I would have liked something in between, although I do like how the anniversary design incorporates five gems to symbolize each of the five years. I wouldn't be complaining, however, if one of those had been placed around my neck. And no matter what the design, it is still a medal I would like to earn one day. I should also make note that this race is currently 78% full, and the registration fee will increase in exactly three weeks. So if this is a race you want to run, register soon!
